With a rich maritime history, Annapolis in Maryland is a great place to visit if you feel at home by the sea. The city’s harbour, where you can listen to the sailboats bobbing about in the water, makes for a pleasant place to stroll around. Annapolis’ Maritime Museum will also teach you about the history of sailing in this region. Tour the US Naval Academy for further insights.

As a result of its position by the water, this is also a good place to visit if you like seafood. Chow down on some crabs caught straight from the bay – all the more reason to stay in Annapolis.

The second largest city in Oklahoma, Tulsa is a metropolis with an abundance of things to see and do.
