Ventura
The laid-back, sunny shores of Ventura in California are bursting with character and things to do. From outdoor activities such as biking, hiking, and surfing, to a fun nightlife scene and thriving shopping districts, Ventura has it all, plus a beautiful, picturesque setting.
In between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, this city has all the beauty of Southern California without the bustle. Linger in Ventura to experience its relaxed way of life.
Torrance
Stay at a hotel in Torrance to experience Los Angeles’ South Bay. This pocket of LA is close enough to the plenty of attractions but more low-key than other neighbourhoods in the city. That said, Torrance still enjoys one of the major advantages of any good place to stay in LA: the beach. Over a mile of coast belongs to this enclave — plenty of sand for you to lay back on!
Shopping addicts will also be happy here as Torrance is home to the fifth-largest mall in the United States. Foodies will also be able to get their fix at over 400 restaurants in the region.
Sonoma
There’s one big reason why you should visit Sonoma: It’s right in the middle on California’s Wine Country. This city is an ideal base for exploring the hundreds of vineyards that are scattered across the surrounding county, one of the most prolific wine regions in the U.S.
The city is also known for its colonial architecture, making it a charming place to take a stroll around (between vineyard visits, naturally). There are many hotels in Sonoma to that make for a comfortable and convenient stay in the area.

South Lake Tahoe
As the name suggests, this city resides on the southern end of Lake Tahoe, in the Sierra Nevada region of California. This alpine haven is a playground for outdoor adventurers, with hiking trails weaving all around the surrounding area within well within reach of downtown.
Aside from all the fresh air fun, South Lake Tahoe is good for entertainment, such as live shows and casino nights. There’s something for everyone here — book yourself into a South Lake Tahoe hotel and enjoy!
Santa Ana
A place for culture in Orange County, Santa Ana is filled with galleries and museums in which to soak up some art in California. Head to the Discovery Cube for interactive science exhibitions that will keep the whole family entertained, or head to the Bowers Museum, which hosts historical collections where you can learn about the state’s history. Stay in Santa Ana for at least a few days to experience the best of Orange County.
