Spectacular Stays in Singapore
Singapore is one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world, and full of luxury hotels. There’s a lot to choose from, but it’s Singapore’s top independent hotels that stand out from the crowd.

1. Swissotel The Stamford
Sleep in the clouds at one of Singapore’s tallest hotels, Swissotel The Stamford. This modern, luxurious tower hotel is kitted out with everything you could possibly need: six tennis courts, two swimming pools, and gym, spa, and multiple restaurants and bars.
What’s more, the hotel is located right in the centre of Singapore, giving you handy access to the city’s top attractions. It’s even connected to a shopping centre via a walkway and directly above a MRT station.
2. Shangri-La’s Rasa Sentosa Resort & Spa
Spoil yourself in Singapore by booking into the Shangri-La’s Rasa Sentosa Resort & Spa. This 454-room beachfront hotel is brushed by palm trees and sits right on some of the city’s best shores. The facilities here are plentiful and luxurious, and each room comes with its own balcony.
Situated on Sentosa Island, this hotel offers a slightly different experience than staying in the city centre. The Shangri-La’s Rasa Sentosa Resort & Spa has the benefit of being both cut off from inner-city chaos, but when you do want the bright lights, you’re only a short hop away.
3. Shangri-La Hotel Singapore
If you actually do want to be in the thick of it, opt for the Shangri-La Hotel Singapore instead, the decadent hotel brand’s other spot in the city. Situated just a stone’s throw away from the main shopping district, this is the place to stay if you want to get some retail therapy in Singapore.
Aside from the prime location, this Shangri-La boasts the same ultimate luxury as its Sentosa Island counterpart: stylish rooms (spaced out around three separate wings, naturally), endless dining options, and world-class service.
4. Marina Bay Sands
Probably one of Singapore’s most iconic structures, the Marina Bay Sands hotel is an attraction in its own right. People come here especially to sit in its sky-high infinity pool, which offers a truly unique way to relax and unwind while taking in breath-taking views over the city.
This hotel’s other perks include a huge casino, numerous dining options with cuisine prepared by top-quality chefs, and simple additions like free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs in every room. Marina Bay Sands is rather pricey of course, but that makes it the ideal splash-out accommodation if you’re on quick layover in the city.

5. Hotel Vagabond
Overflowing with character and charm, Hotel Vagabond might not be quite as flashy as the hotels listed above, but that’s not to say it isn’t a quality stay in Singapore. This quirky bolthole has framed pictures all over the walls and dark, plush interiors, a stark contrast from your standard white-on-white contemporary hotel.
Hotel Vagabond’s ornate details give it a distinctly Asian, boutique feel. That and the Egyptian cotton linens on the king size beds make it one of the most luxurious, offbeat hotels in the city.
