A Multi-Centre Adventure to Thailand

Thailand is the kind of country where visiting just one place isn’t enough.

There are so many things to see in Thailand in all of its corners, from the hills of the north to the blissful beaches and islands of the south, that it’s the perfect destination for a longer trip with a few different stops along the way.

If you’re thinking of taking a multi-centre trip to Thailand, make sure to add these five essential places to your itinerary.

Bangkok

Where better to start thank in Thailand’s bustling capital? Many Thailand adventures begin in chaotic Bangkok, and it’s one of the best places to familiarise yourself with Thai culture.

Explore the phenomenal structures of the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, and Wat Arun, dive into the night and textiles markets, and be dazzled by the bright lights of Khao San Road. Some people love Bangkok so much that they never want to leave, but adventure awaits all over Thailand…

Chiang Rai

This province, tucked right up in Thailand’s north next to the border of Laos, is one of the most untouched areas in the country. Discover Thailand’s fascinating hill tribes – communities of people that live in Chiang Rai’s most remote parts – to take a glimpse into authentic rural Thai life.

Chiang Rai is also home to the famous temple of Wat Rong Khun, an intricate white masterpiece and must-visit stop for anyone interested in ancient Thai culture.

Chiang Mai

Just southwest of Chiang Mai is another of Thailand’s most popular cities – Chiang Mai. Surrounded by hills, this part of Thailand has a distinctly relaxed feel, where nature and temples rule.

Head to Doi Inthanon to trek Thailand’s highest peak, Wat Prathat Doi Suthep or Wat Prasingh to discover glittering gold shrines, and the night markets and bazaar to sample some delicious Thai cuisine and shop for souvenirs.

Close to Chiang Mai is Thailand’s famous Elephant Nature Park, one of the best elephant protection organisations in the world. Come here to get in contact with these beautiful creatures in a respectful, cruelty-free way.

Koh Samui

A trip to Thailand would be incomplete without a visit to its islands, and Koh Samui is one of the country’s most beautiful. With pristine beaches, plus hills and jungle, there are a multitude of different activities on Koh Samui – something for everyone.

One of the most popular activities is snorkelling, because the surrounding crystal clear waters offer excellent opportunity to discover some of Thailand’s stunning marine life. After you’ve explored the depths of the oceans, lie back and relax on one of Koh Samui’s jaw-dropping beaches.

Phuket

A final stop in Phuket is one of the best ways to end a multi-centre trip to Thailand. Get your final fix of some of Thailand’s most beautiful beaches, dance the night away in some of the liveliest bars and clubs in the country, and be blown away by Phuket Town’s wild night market, where all kinds of crazy food oddities are on offer. Try some crispy insects or fried ice cream…

With a finale like that, you’ll find it hard to leave the Land of Smiles!
